Spread the love

I have been a long time user of e-Sword (alongside BibleWorks and now also Logos, for which there is also a free version available) and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a free Bible study software program that rivals many that you would have to pay for and is better than most. This program also makes basic word studies a breeze and has been of great use to those in my congregation to whom I have recommended it. In fact, they often tell me that they love the layout and how user-friendly the program is. There is not a very steep learning curve with this program, so most anyone can catch on to it fairly quickly.

Well, now e-Sword Android is available for Android, although this version is not free. It costs just $1.99 at the Google Play Store.

  1. Hello.
I have been using E-Sword for a long time. I use everyday for my classes at the Missionary Training Bible School in México. On the PC, O have no problem and I can’t complain. On the android phone I use MySword, and as you are well aware I am able to use all the resources that I use on ESword for PC. I aske my students to use E-Sword for all my homeworks, and I teach right from the screens of ESword. I was very glad to see that now we have E-Sword for Android, I already installed it. One setback, since I teach in Spanish I see that there aren’t that many resources in Spanish for this version, not even for sale. So, I do hope that soon we will have this version upgraded for Spanish. I would like my students to be able to use it from their smartphone. Of course I do hope that it won’t be to expensive, our students to be missionaries have low income. Thank You.

  2. I love e-Sword for the PC and have years of notes and reflections in it. I’ve installed the Android version but as of yet there in no way to import, or even put new Bible notes ony phone version.

Anyway it’s a great Bible program for minimal cost.
